50 Years in the Making

I’m turning 50 on April 12th, and rather than having a big, wedding-like bash where I barely get to talk to anyone and the whole thing flies by in a blur, I’d much rather spread the fun out and actually share experiences with you all. So why not make it a year-long celebration?

Again, the idea isn’t a celebration of me—instead, I’m organizing a series of fun events, get-togethers, and trips throughout the year, and I’d love for you to join in whenever you can. The idea was actually inspired years ago by one of Kara’s coworkers, who did something similar called the "Year of Bob." I thought about calling this the "Year of Ryall," but that felt a little too self-centered—and I really want this to be less about me and more about creating memories with the people I care about. And let’s be honest—most of you (including Kara) already believe that EVERY year is the "Year of Ryall" anyway.

If I were a millionaire, I’d cover everything (maybe by 60?), but for now, I’ll just be playing the role of party planner—buying a round or two, but not fully sponsoring the festivities. So, think of me as your excuse to try new things, have a great time with great people, and hopefully create a core memory or two in the process.
